How to prepare for a marriage proposal

For couples, the marriage proposal is one of the biggest highlight and most awaited moment in a relationship. Here are a few tips for men on how to make the marriage proposal extra special.

Choose a date. As much as possible, pick a special date for both of you – could be your anniversary, her birthday or any special date you have in mind.

Choose a venue. Pick a venue where you feel comfortable with – the more private, the better.

Make sure it’s kept a secret all throughout. Don’t ever give your fiancé a hint. Surprising her would make it the whole event more special.

Arrange with her closest friends or family. In order to keep things a secret, arrange the whole thing with the people whom she’s frequently with.

Make sure you have the ring. Don’t plan a proposal if you don’t even have a ring. Buy a ring first then that’s the time you start planning everything.

Think of the perfect way to make it extra special. By this time, you must have known your fiancé too well. Does she love kids? You could invite some kids to sing for her instead of hiring an orchestra.

Ask a close friend to take a video of it for you. This is a special moment. If you want to keep something, ask a close friend to cover the whole thing for you.
