There are ways and means to shorten the time you've been grounded for. If you’re done with mischief for the day, and need to go to the mall, or just get out, but can’t because you’re grounded, here is how to get ungrounded.
1
Find the following: a pipe cleaner, some green food coloring, some crepe paper, preferably red or pink, scissors, a ribbon, and some green thread.
2
First thing to do is pour food coloring into a saucer.
3
Roll the pipe cleaner in the food coloring.
4
Put the pipe cleaner on the windowsill, in the sun, so it can dry.
5
Leave the saucer where it is.
6
Go to the lounge.
7
Cut 3” squares of crepe paper. Cut lots of them.
8
Make a small hole in the center of half the squares.
9
Throw them on the carpet; you won’t be using them.
10
Take five squares and place them on top of each other.
11
Fold the wad of squares so that you have a point where the center is.
12
Take the crepe paper squares and thread to the dining room.
13
Leave everything else on the lounge floor.
14
Go fetch a pipe cleaner.
15
Wrap about an inch of the pipe cleaner tightly around the pointy center.
16
Wrap thread around the top of the pipe cleaner (where it’s wrapped around the crepe paper).
17
One done. Let it lie on the dining table. Make more. When all your pipe cleaners are finished you need to fluff the crepe paper up a bit, and maybe trim the corners a bit.
18
Tie the flowers with the ribbon, and leave them on your Mom's pillow.
19
The mess you’ve made, and the green food coloring on your hands, clothes, carpets, kitchen counters, table cloths and pillow slips will be enough to convince Mom she needs to get you out of the house.
