Tin stilts are not as difficult to walk on as real stilts and can prepare you for the real thing.
1
Get two tin cans, as large as possible.
2
You will also need two lengths of rope of about 2 yards each.
3
Get a screwdriver.
4
Turn a can upside down, take the screwdriver, and make two holes in the tin can, close to what is now the top, and opposite each other.
5
Do the same to the other can.
6
Thread a length of rope through the two holes of one can.
7
Stand on the can, and pull the rope taut.
8
Make a knot in the rope at waist height.
9
Do the same with the other can.
10
You now have the noisiest “stilts” in the neighbourhood.
