Assuming you’re down at the beach and your sand castle is built, and you don’t want to break your castle down, dig a tunnel through the base of your castle.
1
Before starting, decide where your tunnel will be. Start the tunnel facing the sea. Carefully start removing sand from the side of the castle.
2
You will have to pack sand back where it falls away while you are digging. If the tunnel is longer than your arm, use a stick to excavate with.
3
The sand you use to pack into fallen areas must be wet but not soaking.
4
Wait for the tide to come in, and watch the water rush through your tunnel.
5
While waiting for the tide, you could use the tunnel as a route for a toy car to travel through, or maybe even get your puppy to walk through it.
