If you are fortunate enough to live in the suburbs, and have a fairly large area for the children to play in, let them make a mini golf driving range.

Many stores sell inexpensive plastic golf sets; get a set for each child.

Mark out a line from which they are to drive.

Place markers to indicate distances the balls are hit. Plastic balls do not travel very far, so every 3 yards, up to 15 yards should suffice.
