As an adult, I have only 1 small filling in my mouth. It is very rewarding to go to the dentist every six months and get a report of no cavities. Following these simple steps can help your next trip to the dentist be a better one!
1
CHOOSE A DENTIST: The most important step to keeping your whole mouth healthy is to visit a dentist every six months. If you cannot visit every six months, be sure to visit at least once a year.

2
BRUSH: You should brush every morning when you wake up and every night before you go to bed. If possible, it is good to brush after every meal.
3
FLOSS: You should floss at night before you go to bed and before you brush.
4
SWISH: Use mouth wash once or twice a day, depending on what the directions on the bottle of mouth wash say.
5
MY ROUTINE: I usually brush in morning after breakfast. At night right before I go to bed, I floss, brush, and swish.

Eliminate processed sugar from your diet. Sugar offers a breeding ground for bacteria and is one of the major causes of tooth decay.
