How To Keep Your Room Clutter-Free

Each day especially when we’re trapped in the stressful nooks and crannies of our workplace, there’s only one place we can’t wait to be in – our bedroom. And so we might as well keep our room refuge tidy and relaxing all the time.

Remember to always clean your daily mess. After you arrive from work or school, no matter how tired you are, take time to clean up the little clutters of your room.

Make it a habit to keep your sheets tidy right after you get up. If you see your bed nicely fixed, you’d feel the urge to clean up further as well.

Always keep a hamper inside your room ready for your laundry.

If you’re lazy enough to put your shoes back into the box after your try them on with your wardrobe, use a shoe hamper or basket instead. After your return home from work, that’s the time that you take time to put all your shoes back in place.

Keep a trash can inside your room. Throw everything unnecessary into the trash can right away.

Organize your closet. Keep all frequently-used items in one area and the least frequently-used items in another. Another ideal arrangement is by grouping your clothes by color.

Develop a habit to clean up your room once a week. Clean your room regularly. Allowing clutters to accumulate makes it even more difficult to start a cleanup.

Don’t hold on too much to things unneeded. Give away things which you don’t need – clothes and shoes which have not been used for the past year, old magazines and books and the like.

Avoid buying too much. When we buy too much, our bedroom becomes an instant stock room.

Bear in mind that your bedroom is for sleeping. Avoid bringing work documents into your bedroom to minimize paper clutter and work stress.
