If excessive moisture is found throughout your home, it makes your own space prone to mold contamination. How do you prevent the toxic mold from contaminating your place?
1
Keep windows and doors open as often as possible. As mentioned above, moisture is one of the major factors which results to mold contamination. To minimize excessive moisture, keep your windows or doors open as soon as you can.
2
Avoid leaving remaining water in the kitchen. If this is unavoidable, make sure that you seal all containers instead. This should be enough to help control moisture in your kitchen.
3
There are two most mold-prone areas in your home – the bathroom and the kitchen. When using the bathroom or the toilet, keep the exhaust fan switched on.
4
Install dehumidifiers if possible. This can cost you quite a hefty amount but will surely give you good reaps by giving you a mold-free home all the time.
5
Ask a mold professional to inspect your home. Mold removal and mold itself can be very risky. Before you even decide on conducting your own mold remediation, make sure that you have sought for the advice of a mold professional.
