Large pet stores carry many exciting and fun cages with accessories for little animals, but they are usually the most expensive place to shop for pet furniture.

Check your local paper or penny saver for yard sale adds and adds for cages. Many people get pets that they don't adequately care for, and unfortunately, have cages and accessories to sell.

Find a smaller, locally owned pet store and check stock and prices. Ask if the store has any suppliers that make custom cages. Sometimes locals make large, custom cages and sell them through a local pet store for much less than a large chain store could.

Check the internet. Craigslist and Ebay are great places to find bargains on pet supplies.
