Stress and diet changes can cause diarrhea for rabbits that can quickly be fatal.

Feed your rabbits a diet specifically for rabbits like commercial pellet food.

Minimize stress when bringing a new rabbit into your home. Allow for quiet and a place for the rabbit to hide and feel secure. Minimize handling.

Provide timothy hay to help prevent and stop diarrhea. Alfalfa and kale are too rich.

Don't feed rabbits lettuce and only a minimum of dark, green leafy vegetables.

Keep treats such as carrots, apples, alfalfa cubes, and other greens to a small amount to be eaten immediately and not left in the hutch or cage for grazing.
