TIME WARNER HDTV CABLE BOX ISSUE

I have time warner cable I have been trying to get a hold of there stupid help service for the longest. I have been on the phone waiting for 2 hours I am unable to get any help. My friend told me about your site and want to give it a shoot.

My issue is when I watch certain TV shows in HD it goes in a out. What I mean by this, the channel blinks. This is very frustrating, especially when I am trying to watch my soaps. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have a Scientific Atlanta HDTV Cable Explorer 8300HD cable box. I also live in the NY area, in which why I am using Time Warner Cable.
